Take Action to promote and thrive towards gender equality:
All across the globe, girls, women, transgender and gender non-conforming individuals are targeted victims of violence simply because of their gender identity or gender expression. In NYC, although the overall crime rate has declined in recent years, gender -based violence continues to rise.
If you are a NY-based non-profit executive/program manager, business owners, faith-based leader or community member who is motivated to create safe spaces for all New Yorkers, this session is for YOU!
Now is the time for New Yorkers to stand and take action against all forms of gender-based violence.
16 Days of Activism against gender-based Violence is an annual global campaign that runs from November 25 (International Day to End Violence against Women) through December 10 (International Human Rights Day). The campaign raises awareness about the far reaching consequences of gender-based violence, galvanizes government, community, corporate, and philanthropic sectors to dialogue and develop strategies to eliminate gender-based violence.
To learn more about how you and your organization can join the 16 Days Against Gender-Based Violence Campaign, join us opening night November 28th from 6-9pm at El Barrio's Artspace P.S.109
